The term farm equipment refers to powered equipment that is used around the farmyard, in buildings, barns and the workshop to power a wide range of agricultural implements, including powered slurry pumps, pto pumps, slatted floor slurry mixers, conveyor belts, fertilizer feed augers, bale conveyors, lime spreaders, concrete mixers, post hole diggers, vibration equipment, power trowels, power hammers, construction compressors, slat roughening equipment, MIG welders, powered circular saws, bottle shakers, steam cleaners, sweepers, dehorning equipment, powered cattle clippers, mobile mills/ mixers/ squeezers, mixer feeders and mobile milking parlours .
The equipment is nearly ubiquitous and many farmers own even more than one unit, which assists with mixing and feeding, claw care and shearing but also with preparations for fertilizer spreading and many more applications. These versatile units have become nearly indispensible on modern farms. Farmers who use the equipment only temporarily or during the season may find it will not pay off for them and prefer leasing it from contractors or cooperatives, optimizing its utilization by sharing.
