Compact tractors

Compact tractors are more manoeuvrable than high-powered tractors. Yet, despite their compact size they are powerful and versatile movers that operate in agriculture, forestry, horticulture and landscaping. These machines typically fit a wide variety of attachments, including buckets, manure buckets, snow dozers, silage grabs, crocodile buckets, pelican buckets, straw forks, pallet forks, sweepers, silage cutters, post hole diggers, rotary sweeps, round bale grabs, mowers, feeder buckets and many more. Municipalities use the versatile machines for snow clearance, road cleaning and amenity care.

Relatively compact in size, these tractors go into livestock buildings and barns to handle animal feed, for example. Equipped with a dozer blade or a bucket, they are excellent for mucking out free stalls periodically . The compact machines are usually equipped with very robust four wheel drive axles, which allow them to move about in confined space. Relatively low and narrow in build, compact tractors easily go through narrow and low doorways. Many compact tractors benefit from articulated steering and give very tight turns while some feature armoured steering. Compact tractors are usually Diesel fuelled.
