Your allrounder on more than just the farm
Weidemann machines are widely used in agriculture – what could be more natural than its application in the forestry and timber industry, which has become nearly a matter of course in recent years. Of course when a machine is already on site, you want to utilize its full potential. It is easy to “make wood” with the appropriate attachments.
Thanks to the strong and ever-increasing dispersion of wood-burning stoves, firewood processing is again in demand and for many farmers it is a good source of income in addition to providing their own supply of firewood.
Also at the saw mill at home
With their manoeuvrability, compact design and low fuel consumption, Weidemann machines complement the big machines that take care of heavy work in the saw mill. Loading work, stacking and unloading logs and filling energy recovery systems are their speciality here.
Discover the possibilities with some examples.
- Transport work
With a logging fork, the Weidemann machine is suitable for picking up, stacking and transporting logs and small wood. The fork’s gripping function gives the wood a secure grip during driving and lifting movements.
- Loading work
The storage location for finished products is so limited in a saw mill that lorries often have to be loaded from one side. This is no problem with a Weidemann telehandler, since the machine’s arm reaches to the back row of the loading area.
- Stacking work
A Weidemann machine can help with the safe stacking of trunk sections in a saw mill. The interplay of lifting height, stability and manoeuvrability at Weidemann fit together so that the ideal machine type can be easily determined.
The removal of wood waste can be done mechanically with various pushing brooms and sweeping machines. Make your Weidemann into a multitool and select the right attachment for this depending on the size and properties of the wood waste.
- Plot maintenance
There are green areas on every business premise that must be mowed regularly. The Weidemann machine combined with a rotary mower, mulcher or a flail mower with collecting tray is recommended here. A pruning saw, rear trimmers or double-knife mower are also available here for trimming hedges, bushes and trees.
- Winter service
Weidemann machines can be equipped with various snow blades and rear spreaders, depending on the model. This gives you valuable support in winter service to keep the grounds free of snow and ice.
